Spectacular and highly decorative silver épergne centrepiece featuring a suite of 14 matching pierced silver bowls and baskets. The central frame is raised on four scrolling feet and surrounded by twelve removable branches, all decorated with cast leave decoration. Some branches hold pierced silver bowls while baskets hang from others.

Each silver basket and bowl is decorated with applied, cast and finely detailed floral pattern mounts and they rest on openwork cast scroll and floral supports. In further embellishment, each is beautifully hand pierced and hand chased with a lattice design. Of course, all bowls and baskets can be used separately.

An interior pineapple-shaped silver finial is a charming inclusion. The pineapple's rarity and exotic qualities made it a symbol of hospitality in colonial times. Displaying one at home was a sign of wealth and luxury, indicating that the host had spared no expense and valued his or her guests.

This magnificent centrepiece was designed to display and serve an abundance and variety of foods; berries, candied fruits, nuts and sweets of your choice.

This extensive silver épergne suite is not available to purchase online. Please contact us if you would like more information or are interested to buy it.
