Fine quality sterling silver pedestal bowl of the Art Deco era and featuring a hand chased body, stem and base, all decorated with geometric motifs in the Egyptian style, typical of the Art Deco era.
We think it makes a perfect fruit bowl but it is very versatile to take centre stage on a dining table, on a side table holding flowers and would even make an excellent trophy.
Art Deco design, short for Arts Décoratifs, is characterised by rich colours, bold geometry, and decadent detail work. Having reached the height of its popularity in the 1920s, '30s and '40s, the style still brings in glamour, luxury, and order with symmetrical designs in exuberant shapes.
