Bespoke: City of London Club sterling silver scale model

Another example of a bespoke private commission Langfords made in sterling silver. Langfords was invited by The City of London Club to make a sterling silver model of their club building for presentation to the retiring chairman.

Photographs taken during a site visit, plus architectural plans for the original building and later additions, were used to create moulds for casting the pieces. Fine details such as the correct number of window panes, exterior lanterns, flag poles and engraved roof tiles were included to finish this wonderful scale model.

The finishes model was presented on an ebonised black plinth with a silver plaque honouring the outgoing chairman with an engraved sentiment.
