In excellent and original condition, this is a classic, heavy-gauge antique George III silver beer jug in a design that personifies the style of the period at the end of the 18th century.
Of baluster form and with scroll and leaf mounts, the stepped spreading circular base has a slant gadroon border and the applied moulded rim mount extends around the open spout. Although heavy gauge, it is still comfortable to use with ease and pours perfectly.
