Set of four antique silver candlesticks, made at the beginning of the 20th century in a style redolent of the neoclassical style of the 1790s. Their elegant oval forms and tapering stems are very pleasing to look at and their simplicity means they will suit any table setting; traditional or modern.
the restrained and disciplined neoclassical style replaced the extravagance and lightheartedness of the previous Rococo period of the 1730s through 1770s.
The height of these silver candlesticks enables them to accommodate candles of up to 360 mm (14"), thereby casting a good amount of light over the table or into the room.
