Handsome antique silver water jug with a hand raised body that is hand chased to create a banded barrel effect around the lower third of the piece. The beak-shaped spout features a simple ribbed decoration while the cast handle is fastened to the body of the jug with a silver acanthus leaf terminal. The interior has its original gilding.
This silver jug's style would easily fit easily into a classic table setting or a more contemporary one.
