This is a particularly pretty pair of George III sterling silver wine coasters, made by William Plummer at the end of the 18th century. The bodies are beautifully and crisply pierced and decorated with delicate engraved leaf and scroll decoration. The top rims are surmounted with a fine bead pattern border and wooden bases are original.
