Antique wine jug with bulbous hand-blown glass body mounted on a collet base and fitted with silver mounts. The interior of the cover is gilded and the piece has a cast, openwork decorative thumbpiece.
There is a crest engraved on the cover with the crest attributed to the Wodehouse surname and barony. The crest shows an arm erect, holding a club in the hand and on a scroll the motto FRAPPE FORTE meaning "strike strong".
