Art Deco silver drinks or cocktail tray of octagonal form and decorated with a chevron pattern border and inset with stylised c-chaped wood handles; all typical design motifs that personify the Art Deco era. This pattern is quite rare and the size, shape and style make it highly desirable.

Perfect for serving drinks or cocktails, this silver tray would also make an ideal companion to a four-piece Art Deco silver tea service.

Art Deco was a popular design style in the 1920s and 1930s characterised especially by sleek geometric or stylised forms. It represented luxury, glamour, exuberance, and faith in social and technological progress. For that reason silver cocktail and barware were popular categories of goods to reflect the style of the time.

This silver tray bears the voluntary Jubilee mark which was introduced in 1934 to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of King George V and Queen Mary, and was available to silversmiths for two years between 1934 and 1935.
