Large silver salver by royal silversmith
2424
A very large and impressive Victorian silver salver made by the Royal Silversmith, Robert Garrard, in 1855. The surface is intricately hand-engraved with leaf and scroll design and has a family coat of arms in the centre for Rogers (Thomas Englesby Rogers of Yarlington, Somerset). The motto reads "Justum perficito nihil timeto" which translates as "Do justly and fear not". This beautiful tray is mounted on three feet and as well as making a wonderful centrepiece will also hold a four piece tea and coffee service.
