Smart three-piece Art Deco tea service of the era and made in the late 1930s. Each of the ball-shaped bodies is mounted on a stepped pedestal base and fitted with pleasing c-shaped handles. The fruitwood teapot handle is probably apple or pear, matching the button finial on the lid, and the interiors of the sugar bowl and milk jug are nicely gilded.
Capacity of the teapot is 600ml (21 fl oz) or enough for about five cups of tea.
