This wonderful pair of silver salt cellars are modelled as horses' hooves with exceptionally fine detailing. The hooves themselves are brightly polished with textured fur behind. As a sign of the fine quality of this wonderful pair, each dish is detailed underneath with realistic representation of the underside of a horse's hoof, including the shoe. Each dish has its original salt spoon modelled as a riding crop.

Edward Stockwell is known for the fine quality of his craftsmanship and these salts are excellent examples of his work.
