A sterling silver hand mirror with striking blue enamel back featuring an engine-turned radial decoration with a leaf and flower border running round the perimeter. Importantly, the enamel is in perfect condition as is the original bevelled mirror.

Vitreous enamel is a decorative, glass-like coating fused on to a metallic base, historically applied on gold, silver and copper. The earliest known enamelled objects were made in 13th century BC during the Mycenæan period.
