Novelty heavy-gauge silver playing dice
8705
These wonderfully heavy-gauge dice are cast in sterling silver to give a satisfying hefty feel, and perfectly engineered for a balanced roll. The pips are hand-drilled. They can be bought individually, in pairs, or sets of five for use as poker dice.
Dice hold a special place in the hearts of collectors and tabletop gaming enthusiasts, and new set of dice is an excellent gift for anyone, young or not so young.
The most common type of die is a six-sided cube with the 21 pips drilled on the six faces. The value of the roll is indicated by the number of pips or dots showing on the top. For the six-sided die, opposite faces are arranged to always add up to seven.
What game can you play with 1 die? Pig is a simple dice game first described in print by John Scarne in 1945. Players take turns to roll a single die as many times as they wish, adding all roll results to a running total, but losing their gained score for the turn if they roll a one.
