Whether living in an urban environment or in the country, we have a fondness for the mallard and this is large and nicely detailed sterling silver model of a dabbling mallard drake, carefully cast in a standing pose. A mallard duck is also available separately.
Langfords' heavy quality models are cast in sterling silver using the traditional, centuries-old technique of lost wax casting where molten silver is poured into a mould that has been created by means of a wax model. Once the silver has solidified, the wax model is melted and drained away. Each model is then individually hand chased to produce the lifelike effect seen in the finished piece.
