This attractive pair of sterling silver coasters in the Georgian style are beautifully pierced and hand-engraved with neoclassical decoration of medallions and garlands, and with their original turned wooden bases.
Bottle coasters from this Victorian period are rare, because very few were made after the 1830s right up until a revival in the late 20th century. However, a few were made in the intervening years and these are beautiful examples where the original George III style has been faithfully reproduced but with a price tag of about half that of those in period.
