Excellent antique hand-forged set of sterling silver Wellington pattern cutlery for 12 people, mostly made by one of the 19th century's best silver cutlery makers, George Adams.

Wellington is a mid-19th century pattern named after the Great Duke of Wellington. Two variations are known: with a double thread down the length of the stem ending at the bowl with scrolls - like this set - or with a plain lower half of the stem.
