Set of 12 mid-century silver wine goblets by one of the finest silversmiths of the 20th century, Stuart Devlin, and reflecting his very distinctive decorative style. The hand raised bowls and cast tapering stems are hand hammered and multifaceted, technique that reflects surrounding light and makes them sparkle. This size of wine goblet is most suitable for white wine.

The bowls are attached to their textured, cast tapering stems via an
apron of gilded open-work human figures, with arms raised as if holding up the bowls. the figures are alternately gilded. The bowl interiors are also gilded.

Each goblet is hand engraved with a family crest of a lion rising from a turret.

Note: Gold is inert and therefore will not react with food or beverages, so it is both decorative and practical.
